 1. Regional Level Attestation:

  • Initially, documents undergo verification at the regional level by local authorities, then proceed to state-level attestation. 

2. State Government Level Attestation:

  • Each Indian state has specific departments like State Home Department (SHD), General Administration Department (GAD), Human Resource Department (HRD), and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Delhi for this purpose. For commercial documents, the Chamber of Commerce handle this verification.

3. MEA Stamp:

  • After state-level attestation, the document is further authenticated by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in Delhi.

4. Embassy Attestation:

  • Finally, the document qualifies to be submitted to the Thailand Embassy for attestation.
